IQOO Neo 6 5G

 IQOO Neo 6 5G

iQOO Neo 6 5G is the company's first phone in the Neo series in India.  Its starting price is Rs 29,999.  We used this phone for a long time, then have brought its review for you.  Come, let's know how we have liked this phone?

iQOO entered the Indian market in the year 2020.  The company has so far launched many mid and flagship phones in India in the number (3, 7, 9) and Z series.  In the Chinese market, the company has launched many phones in the Neo series, but the first phone of the Neo series has been launched recently in India.  This phone, named iQOO Neo 6, has been launched especially for gamers.  It gets the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, which the company has also used in the iQOO 7 series.  The starting price of the phone is Rs 29,999.  We have reviewed its top variant with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, which costs Rs 33,999.  Come, let us know how we have liked this phone.

iQOO Neo 6 design

We did not find the design of this phone very impressive, but its color scheme is good.  We have used the Cyber Rage color model.  Apart from this, this phone also comes in two more colors Dark Nova and Maverick Orange.  A display with a punch hole design is available in the front of the phone, in which a selfie camera is installed.  The speaker is given above it.  The bezels on both sides of the display are thin, but the chin is a bit thick.  The power and volume controls of the phone are given on the right side of the frame.  At the same time, the Type C charging jack, SIM card tray and speaker grill are at the bottom of the device.  Two microphones are found on the top.
A slightly different camera module has been given on the back panel, with two large camera sensors at the top and bottom.  The smaller camera sensor is found on the right side right next to the bottom camera sensor.  The camera module has a thick glossy strip at the bottom that bears the Neo branding.  Iku has also used 3D plastic material in the back panel of this phone.  This phone would have looked a bit more premium if metal had been used in it.  The phone grips easily in the palm of your hand, but feels a bit heavy as it weighs 190 grams.  Talking about the overall design, there is nothing new except the camera module.

iQOO Neo 6 display

A 6.62-inch E4 AMOLED display is available in this phone.  This screen has support for peak brightness of up to 1300 nits, HDR10+, 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling, which further improves the display quality.  The best thing I found in the display of this phone is that even in direct sunlight, you will see everything clearly on the screen.

You can browse content on this phone for a long time on OTT platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, Zee5, Disney + Hotstar and SonyLIV.  Its display also supports the Netflix HDR feature.  The company has given the SGS Eye Care display protection feature in this phone, which specifically prevents the harmful blue light emanating from the display from reaching the eyes.  While gaming and using social media, most users keep their eyes on the phone for a long time.  Due to this protection, there will not be much stress on the eyes of the users.

Even during gaming, the display of iQOO Neo 6 performs well.  Due to the E4 AMOLED display and HDR10+ support, the phone will get good performance while playing games with high graphics such as COD Mobile etc.  You can also play the game in high resolution mode.  Even during this, the frame rate of the phone's display remains correct, that is, you will not see any kind of lag.  Its display is good in this price range for gaming and content browsing.

 iQOO Neo 6 performance

iQOO Neo 6 5G has been given the Octacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G processor.  It is a 7nm processor, which works on the A77 architecture and the top clock speed is up to 3.2GHz.  This processor is especially used in premium mid range smartphones.  Its special thing is that it is good for daily use such as calling, web browsing, binge watch, gaming and multitasking etc.

This phone comes in two variants – 8GB RAM + 128GB and 12GB RAM + 256GB.  In this, the company has given 36907mm Cascade cooling system for gaming, which keeps the device cool during heavy use i.e. multitasking and gaming.  Games with high graphics like COD Mobile, New State Mobile etc. launch instantly.  However, the phone starts heating up after playing the game for 20 to 25 minutes at high graphics settings.

Android 12 operating system is available in this smartphone, with which customized Funtouch OS 12 skin has been given.  Features like in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock are available for security.  For connectivity, features like USB Type C, Bluetooth 5.20, Dual Band Wi-Fi, 5G, NFC have been given in it.  This phone also supports stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos etc.  However, it does not get a 3.5mm audio jack, which I find to be a drawback.  3.5mm audio jack should be given in phones below 40 thousand rupees.

 iQOO Neo 6 battery

iQOO Neo 6 5G gets 4,700mAh battery and 80W fast charging support.  It takes about 50 minutes to charge from 0 to full.  The advantage of having fast charging is that you can use it comfortably for 5 to 6 hours by charging it for 15 minutes.  After full charge of the battery, you can watch videos on this phone for 4 to 5 hours.  Can also play games for 3 to 4 hours.

The company claims that 4 hours of video recording can be done on full charge.  We did not watch the video recording for 4 hours, but while using the phone, it felt that its battery is fine for daily use.  However, if the phone's data is on, then the battery backup may be slightly less.  We have found the performance of the phone to be fine in terms of battery backup.

 iQOO Neo 6 camera

Triple rear camera setup is available in iQOO Neo 6 5G.  These include 64MP main lens, 8MP ultra wide lens and 2MP macro lens.  A 16MP front camera has been provided for selfie and video calling.  The OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) feature is available in the main camera of the phone, which can click better pictures.

First of all, let's talk about the main camera of the phone.  Can click a better picture than this in the light of day.  The aperture of the main lens is f/1.89, due to which good detailing is available in photos taken in daylight.  The OIS support present in it makes the picture of the phone even better.

With this phone, you can click good quality images even in low light.  Its night mode feature also works well.  You will also like the picture taken in this mode.  However, the detailing of the picture taken in low light is not very good.  Blur appears at the edges of the picture.

Talking about the 8MP ultrawide camera, this camera can also click images with good detailing in daylight.  However, the picture taken in low light looks a little less better.  Its AI feature enhances the color composition of photos, which is good for social media uploading.  The right picture can also be clicked with the macro camera of the phone.  A common user does not use the macro camera much, due to which companies probably do not pay much attention to the macro camera.

The front of iQOO Neo 6 has a 16MP sensor, which has an aperture f / 2.0.  The AI beauty feature is also available in the front camera, due to which there is no need to apply filters after clicking the picture.  With this camera also the picture can be clicked with good detailing.  Iku has also given Bokeh feature in the front camera of the phone, which means you can click photos in portrait mode as well.

4K quality video recording can be done from both the front and back cameras of this phone.  SloMo video recording feature is also available in this.  In the camera app, you get many modes like panorama, portrait, using which you will be able to capture pictures or video recordings of different moments.  The camera of the phone is good for video recording and social media uploads.

Buy or not iQOO Neo 6 5G?

iQOO Neo 6 is a better phone coming in this price range.  It has 80W fast charging feature.  One charge can be used for the whole day.  The performance of the phone is good in gaming and multi-tasking.  With this you can also click good pictures.

The thing that I did not like in this phone is its design.  Also, it does not feel premium because of the plastic body.  This phone can be worth the money for gaming and daily use.  You may have to spend a little more money for OnePlus and Xiaomi phones that come with specifications like iQOO Neo 6.
